School Occupational Therapist

TactStaff EDU is seeking a dedicated and skilled School Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in reaching their full potential in the educational setting. In this role, you will evaluate students with physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges and provide targeted interventions that help them access and participate in their learning environment.

You will design and implement individualized therapy plans that strengthen fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills, promoting greater independence and success in the classroom. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful problem-solver who can analyze student needs and develop practical, effective intervention strategies.

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and adaptable professional who communicates well and values collaboration with students, educators, and families. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate documentation and delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ physical, sensory, and cognitive needs
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in both pull-out and classroom settings
• Partner with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Monitor student progress and modify interventions as needed

• Active New Mexico Board Licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Willingness to obtain NMPED credential (district support provided upon hire)
