Clinical Dietitian:
TACT Staff is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team! As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. You will assess the client’s needs, develop treatment plans, provide therapy, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient nutrition visits in-person or via telehealth.
• Assess nutrition needs, develop, implement/re-evaluate care plans for patients.
• Educate patients and caregivers and communicates patient issues to the healthcare team.
• Assist in the coordination of patients on home tube feedings.
• Document clinical assessments appropriately and maintain accurate, complete records.

• Make a continuous effort to improve job performance and to develop work-related skills and expertise
  Provide training to fellows, nurse practitioners, and nurses in nutrition. Serves as preceptor for dietetic interns.
• Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams, document malnutrition, assess nutrition needs and develop, implement/reevaluate care plans for patients of all ages.

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with oncology preferred, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist, New York State Education Department, within 12 months of hire. Will also need to apply for New Jersey licensure once available.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Advanced level certification preferred: Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO), Commission on Dietetic Registration; or Certified Diabetes Educator, National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators
