School Physical Therapy Assistant
TACT STAFF is seeking a dedicated School Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team! As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students with physical disabilities or movement challenges improve mobility, balance, and coordination. You will assist in carrying out individualized therapy programs designed to promote independence in the classroom and school activities.

The ideal candidate should be compassionate, patient, and skilled at following treatment plans to support student progress. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working with teachers, therapists, and parents, while attention to detail and organizational abilities are needed to document and monitor student performance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

• Lead students through exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and coordination.

• Support classroom participation and school-based physical activities under therapist guidance.

• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to carry over therapy strategies in the school environment.

• Document student participation and progress, reporting updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Requirements:

• Michigan licensure
• Physical Therapist Assistant Associate Degree Program
•  Licensed as a physical therapy assistant by Licensing and Regulatory Affairs
