School Occupational Therapist
TACT STAFF is seeking a skilled School Occupational Therapist to join our team! As a School Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and supporting students with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges that impact their ability to participate in school activities. They develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve fine motor skills, self-regulation, and daily living tasks, helping students achieve greater independence in the classroom. The ideal candidate for this role should possess A successful School Occupational Therapist should have strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess student needs and develop effective intervention plans. They should be compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities are essential for maintaining accurate records and implementing therapy strategies..
Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate students' physical, sensory, and cognitive needs to develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Implement and modify therapy interventions to improve fine motor skills, self-regulation, and daily living tasks.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create adaptive strategies for student success.
  • Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
  • Provide direct therapy services and support students in the classroom setting.
Requirements:
• VA Licensure
• In Person
• School based experience to supervise COTAS, evaluate, determine eligibility, bill Medicaid, write plans of care
