Job Summary:

Provide specialized occupational therapy services to patients in a facility undergoing major renovations. Play a key role in supporting residents’ functional independence, especially within a dedicated dementia unit.

Responsibilities:

• Administer assessments to evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving daily living skills and cognitive function.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
• Document treatment progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and supportive environment, especially for residents with dementia.
• Educate residents and staff on therapeutic exercises and strategies for functional improvement.

Qualifications:

• Valid occupational therapist license in the state.
• Proven experience working with elderly populations, particularly those with dementia.
• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to a dynamic, evolving environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Flexibility to work a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekends as needed.
