Job Description

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions to improve patient function, focusing on outpatient rehabilitation. The role emphasizes collaborative care, patient safety, and evidence-based treatment to help patients achieve maximum independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers occupational therapy treatments and modalities as prescribed by physicians to restore function and prevent disability.
  • Evaluates patient progress and adjusts treatment plans accordingly, documenting outcomes accurately.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans.
  • Operates therapy equipment safely, maintaining department cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Participates in staff training, educational programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and ensures accurate clinical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with current NH eligibility.
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • BLS (AHA) certification required.
  • Minimum one year of outpatient therapy experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of upper quadrant pathologies, neuro-rehab, orthopedics, and post-operative care.
  • Proficient in manual therapy, neuro-rehab techniques, and functional activity diagnoses.
